The Little Red Truck That Could

The Tea Party movement is more about a battle from between the elites and the people than a struggle over philosophy.  When I met Tracy Carter, I made a total commitment to the people of Lee County and came out of self-imposed isolation from the pettiness of local politics and helped him take on just about every element of the power structure of Lee County.  Things have not been the same since that night.  Many of those who opposed him have joined his side and most of them have been at least respectful and kind to me. Some previous targets of my blog have become allies. I might not always do the right thing, but what I do is for the right reasons.    Four years ago, every time I heard a county song four years ago, I thought of Tracy out in his little red truck, and we kept on going.  Tracy is still my inspiration and Termites bring it on!  The ink of this blog will not disappear.

“The Event is in the Hand of God”

Meridian Magazine - “The Event is in the Hand of God”: "As the delegates filtered in the week and a half prior to the start of the Constitutional Convention in May of 1787, George Washington turned to Gouverneur Morris and said:
“It is too probable that no plan we propose will be adopted. Perhaps another dreadful conflict is to be sustained. If to please the people, we offer what we ourselves disapprove, how can we afterwards defend our work? The event is in the hand of God.”"
